This is a scan of a photocopy of a newspaper photo. Probably 1958 or '59. I'm standing in the back of a Red Arrow freight truck. Below and in front of me are Junior Hendricks, the driver, W. L. Fulwiler, manager of the J. C. Penney store where we're unloading, and Thedford Rhodes, the stock room manager. The boxes contain 300 women's coats for the annual "J. C. Penney Coat Caravan." Thed's nephew, Ray Rhodes, who's not in the picture of course, went on to become an NFL star player and later a coach. Posted by Picasa

Two-gun kid, around 1947. Also in the picture are the neighbors' dog, Pal, and my bother, Bob. I wish I still had those pistols and that hat. I do have the chaps, which my father bought at the 1936 Texas Cetennial Exposition in Dallas. Posted by Picasa

This was a place near our hotel it Cuzco in January 2005. Why don't we have high-tech places like this in the U.S.? Or maybe we do. Posted by Hello

I was born on my father's 26th birthday, July 28, 1941. Here we are a year later. Posted by Hello

No Photos Yet

For some reason or other, I thought I might start a blog where I could post some photos. I haven't taken any photos to post yet, but I might begin with some older ones. Or maybe I won't post anything at all. We'll have to wait and see.
